Malta Middle School Students Compete at Academic Olympics in Glasgow
Students from Malta Middle School participated in the Middle School Academic Olympics held April 9 in Glasgow. Eighty students from Glendive, Sidney, Fairview, Plentywood, Chinook, Malta, Glasgow, and Wolf Point competed in what was known as Class 1.
The competition featured a written test round and an oral round. During the written round, students were assessed on their knowledge in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Ribbons and medals were awarded to the top ten scorers in each subject.
In the oral rounds, teams competed in a single-elimination, Jeopardy-style format featuring quick-answer “snapper” questions and team questions. Both Malta teams performed exceptionally well.
Malta Middle School participants included Titus Wiederrick, Ali Retan, Kade Bleth, Beckett Squires, Trace Stolem, Charlee Anderson, Brekken Murray, Jace Tollefson, Kallie Labrie, and Olivia Ritchey.

Team results:
